Ken-tron Mfg., Inc. solidified our presence in the aerospace industry through our participation in the Paris Air Show. Ken-tron was proud to participate in this truly international event in conjunction with the Kentucky Aerospace Industry Consortium (KAIC)and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development (CED.
The 2019 show, at Le Bourget Parc des Expositions, is the largest air show in the world. Half-a-million square feet of display space was arranged with 2,400 exhibitors from 48 countries. This year’s show was covered by 2,700 journalists and attended by approximately 150,000 aerospace professionals from 128 countries.
The Ken-tron display of metal stampings, drawn wire and assemblies attracted significant interest as part of the Kentucky booth of aerospace manufacturers in the center of the U.S.A. pavilion. Our team conducted daily meetings with aerospace customers from around the world. Ken-tron aerospace stampings and aerospace wire components are now supporting these customers throughout the aerospace market.
On Sunday and Monday, Ken-tron attended the AIA President’s and U.S. Industry receptions. At these events, dignitaries such as U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilber Ross, spoke of aerospace as the one market critical to international trade and national defense. In fact, aerospace is one of the strongest and still fastest growing markets for the U.S.
Likewise, the aerospace market is a critical aspect of Ken-tron’s business. We focus much of our drawn wire and metal stamping research and development on this market and have made the aerospace industry the center of our quality system with our AS 9100 based system.
Dozens of face-to-face meetings that would otherwise take months to accomplish, are the immediate benefit of attending an event like the Paris Airshow. Ken-tron seized on this opportunity and also realized great benefit by networking with such a large and diverse professional audience, resulting in improved metal stampings, drawn wire, and assemblies for our customers.
